NOW THIS IS A BAGEL SPOT! Now i may tell a joke but id never tell a lie, this bagel was legit! Should've known with the line outside of the spot when I pulled up. CASH ONLY! And if you're nice with the crew they seem to take care of your food well! No where to sit but again get ya food and go about your day, so chill vibes. I had an Everything Bagel (toasted which .10) with Jalapeño cream cheese, Egg, lettuce, tomato and onions. The sandwich parts paired so well with the cream cheese, it wasn't event spicy or anything crazy. I couldn't stop thinking about that bagel all day, very soft, very tasty! 10/10 would come back again!

Insanely good! I didn't even have the chance to take pictures. I got a nova lox with onion bagel and blueberry cream cheese with plain bagel perfection! There was a long line but it went by really quick.

A great bagel spot in UWS. Be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes though! The line may look intimidatingly long, but it does go surprisingly fast. The shop feels exactly like you'd expect a New York bagel shop to be like -- you just order what you want, and 5 min later the bagel comes out. It's very casual, but a great spot to get a solid bagel. I wish I had a little more smoked salmon in my bagel, but it still tasted great. Would highly recommend getting either the scallion cream cheese or the garlic&herb cream cheese with the smoked salmon bagel!! Such a delicious combination

I've heard a lot about this place. It's hyped up a bit I'll say but it's good. Not my favorite bagel place in the city, but good. The best thing I got was the scallion cream cheese with a slice of lox. That was incredible. The scallion cream cheese is definitely worth returning for. We then got a pumpernickel special with tomato and cheese. It was disappointing. Nothing special from the bread and the cheese and tomato were totally average. No spread which would've made it better. Those two bagels came out to $26 which is an insane price, so that's also a fault. Come on New York! Must've been the salmon. Inside is pretty confusing also. I wish they had signs up for their bagels, the menu has all the info but for some reason, hard to follow more than other bagel spots.

Absolutelyyy delicious! This small joint had so many options for bagels and cream cheese. I got the everything bagel with lox creamy cheese and they really stuffed it in there. The bagel had a toasty crisp on the outside and soft light doughy inside. I was so full after one, but was also ready for another. The inside is pretty small, line goes by quick, but they only accept cash!

Located near the Columbia University campus, Absolute Bagels is the quintessential New York bagel shop, if perpetually long lines stretching out the door are any indication. They're so popular, in fact, that they don't have any online presence and don't serve delivery apps. The bagels themselves aren't necessarily ginormous, but they have just a hint of crisp on the outside with plenty of nourishingly chewy heft inside. And while they aren't the cheapest - a bagel with flavored spread will set you back $5.50, cash only - there's enough of it so that one bagel with cream cheese will make for a full meal for those with modest appetites. In my case, an everything bagel with bacon and cheddar cream cheese was absolutely filling and indulgent, even though I was moderately hangry after having stood in line for so long. Pro tip: head to Straus Park across the street where, at least in warm weather, you can enjoy your goodies in pleasant, leafy surroundings. Pro tip: you don't need to shove your food into the photo - or massage, fondle, or molest it - with your bare, moist, wrinkly hands and dirty fingernails. You also don't need to call attention away from the food with pointless "action" shots. Keep all body parts, plaque-laced bite marks, and distracting backgrounds out of the photo. Focus solely on the food itself. #stayclassy #stayuseful #noyouarenotanarteeste
